I have this rug now for 4 weeks. I have vacuumed without a beater at least 10 times. It won't stop shedding on everything. Primarily the white fibers. It is excessive. What can I do? I really want to keep this rug.
Wood rugs do shed. There's really no way around a wool rug shedding. In time the shedding will reduce. This is not a defect. Continue to use your vacuum without the beater bar. Vacuuming pulls the fibers away from the rug, causing even more shedding; avoid strong suction.

I only have a dyson cordless in my apartment. The roller brush (not technically a beater bar) has soft bristles but cannot be turned off. Can I use it for this vacuum?
When using a vacuum cleaner we suggest not to use the beater bar. The Vacuum must be set at hard wood floor mode.
