SADDLE BROOK, NJ — April 15, 2015 – Building on the success of their new Twilight Collection, leading floor covering and home accents manufacturer Nourison, today released new Twilight styles including a stunning Odyssey rug with a 3D-like effect. The Twilight Collection debuted in Las Vegas and Atlanta Markets in January of this year. The collection was a hit with both buyers and designers, many placing their orders after seeing and touching the rugs. This new collection has a supple feel and luxurious look that rivals handmade rugs costing thousands of dollars more.

Nourison’s design team quickly got to work on new styles which will be shown at High Point Market in April. One of the new styles, called “Odyssey”, is a must see. It has a depth and texture that seems almost three-dimensional even though the rug is an even pile height. The effect is even more stunning because the rug was woven with closely varying shades of yarn, not printed, to achieve the proper shading to create the illusion of depth. The design of the rug was inspired by a theme of space exploration.

“When I challenged my team to create a rug that gave the illusion of depth, I think some of them thought I was crazy,” said Alex Peykar, Principal of Nourison. “We tested many times to make sure we had the right yarn colors and loom. Once we saw it taking shape on the loom, we knew it was going to work and that it would be a statement piece.”

Nourison will display the Twilight Collection, featuring the Odyssey rug, at High Point Market in InterHall Space IH101 from April 18-23, 2015.
