Lovely design but smell is intolerable
The smell of the wool is like a wet dog. After months of hoping it would fade, I finally removed the rug from my bedroom. It was actually keeping me up at night! Now I’m out thousands of dollars and have nothing to show for it.

Luxcelle is FRAGILE!!
What a disaster! When I purchased my 10' by 14' Nourison Prismatic Denim rug, I focused on the large label proclaiming “Wools of New Zealand Natural Quality” - I thought I was buying a rug to last generations! I should have focused on the smaller font noting “50% Luxcelle” - which, according to Nourison, is a “regenerated cellulose fiber.” After trying to clean a small spill at the edge of my rug by myself (which I never, ever should have attempted), I sought the help of the best professional rug cleaner in my area (who is also a Nourison dealer). Despite instructing the use of water in their Professional Carpet Cleaning Instructions, Nourison Customer Service says “From our trails [sic] we have found out that water, whether it’s soapy or not, will discolor the fiber and weaken it.” So after substantially less than 2 years of use, my lustrous blue and grey and buff sculpted rug is now bluish and greyish and orangey and green and brown, and flat. I certainly admit that I started the damage ball rolling by trying to clean the spot at the edge by myself, but it sure would have been nice if Nourison advised that simply getting my rug wet would utterly destroy it. With a contribution from my professional rug cleaner, I have replaced my rug, and we both agreed to avoid Luxcelle going forward.
