How long after installation of this carpet should we wait to have it steam cleaned? To protect an asthmatic family member, we'd like instructions on how to ensure we eliminate/minimize any chemical off-gassing and/or fumes.

Hi, Thank you for looking at our products. For the off-gassing/fumes question- We would recommend, if possible to ask your installer to open it up and let it off-gas at their facility before bringing it to your home. If not possible we recommend- weather permitting, to open a window for better ventilation. This can take several days. For the cleaning question- The product can be steamed (if only trying to remove the oder, only use water and no detergent) right away. We do recommend you ask your installer as they may be using a product that may need to cure/dry before it can be cleaned. Please Note: If this is a glue-down install, the glue can also off-gas longer than the carpet at times.
