How does this seam? I understand that this carpet is towed along the width of the carpet.

Velvet chic can be seamed in any of the normal methods. It is a cut pile carpet.

Does this carpet off gas? I have a client who is very concerned about this for her newborn's nursery.

Thank you for the question and looking at our products. This will "off gas" as most products do when being enclosed in wrapping for a prolonged period of time. It will only take a few days and nothing will linger.

What is the backing and what under pad is recommended, can it be a chip foam
