Does machine tufted mean the glue holding it together will gradually decompose and the carpet will no longer be functional? Shedding?
Machine tufted carpets are backed with a latex action back and are very durable and long lasting, It's not typical to see the glue break down. This carpet is a 50/50 blend of wool and polypropylene. Shedding is a characteristic of any wool carpet but will subside after about 3-4 months. Regular vacuuming will help to shorten the amount of time that you see shedding.
