Will these pads mark, mar, or leave pad material stuck on hard wood floors, natural stone tile (travertine), saltillo, or stained concrete floors? Which side, felt or rubber, should go down on the above flooring types?

No this pad is non-adhesive and safe for all hard surfaces and carpets. Both sides of this pad are the same.
